My Great-Grand-Aunt May Mills is the author of the history of “MILLBRAE and its Founding Family”. She wrote the history, and published it in 1973, as a dedication to our pioneering family members and “because of repeated requests from my family and friends for information about our forebears, their settlement in South Australia, and the development of Millbrae.” She gave away copies to family members, including my Mum and Dad (the Helene (her grand-niece) and John in the dedication).

May wrote the story to inform and educate our family and the wider community, and (trail-blazing as she was) I think she would have embraced the internet and been happy for her story to be uploaded and accessible to all.

So here it is, enjoy the stories and reflect on the lives of our forebears!
